Male models, actors, realtors, DJ’s, music artists, (etc) all need a little makeup to even out their skin tone and to cover up blemishes for professional photographs. Your picture is your brand. You don’t want to look washed out, discolored, dry, chapped, blotchy or shiny… You want to be “smoothed” out for the camera, and still look like yourself. There is definitely a reason why a makeup artist is used on almost every set! You should exfoliate your lips the night before your headshots (so they’re not chapped or flaky), exfoliate, tone and moisturize your face to prep your skin for your makeup artist.
