Welcome to MikaDoesMakeup.com
Mika is a professional makeup artist and esthetician located in the heart of beautiful downtown Vancouver. Her heritage is a mixture of Japanese, Scottish & Welsh, and her name means “Beautiful Canada” in Japanese (which she can speak fluently in). She has traveled all over the globe from amazing locations such as Barbados, Fiji, Hawaii, Japan, Paris, New York, Miami, Amsterdam, Mexico, Los Angeles & Australia (to name a few), although Vancouver is her absolute favorite place.
Mika has previously studied at Blanche Macdonald in Vancouver on two separate occasions, first for the Makeup Artistry program, (completed in ’02), and second for the Esthetics program (completed in ’05). This means she can do much more than just makeup… The other services she provides include the ever so popular eyelash extensions, waxing, tinting, massage, facials, pedicures & manicures.
In between doing all the things in life that she loves, Mika keeps up to date with her own YouTube beauty channel to post useful (or fun) makeup tutorials and product review videos for her viewers to enjoy. She has quickly gained a decent following of online subscribers, and the numbers keep growing.
The most rewarding part about Mika’s line of work is when her clients are positively happy with their enhanced look and have instantly gained an incredible boost of confidence. Mika absolutely loves what she does and she strives to make faces and bodies even more beautiful.
